diving > daytrips
You wish to dive, but do not want to leave the comfort of your hotel? Day diving is the alternative to liveaboard cruises. Departing every morning between 07h00 and 09h30, the day boats head for some of the best dive sites in the world; Racha Yai, Racha Noi, PhiPhi Islands, King Cruiser, Shark Point, Anemone Reef, Ko Doc Mai and a few deep wrecks such as SS Petaling, HMS Vestal, CP1238 or the Sunshine 1 much appreciated by technical divers (depth ranges from 55m down to 75m).
Day diving from Phuket takes place on large comfortable vessels equipped with solariums, showers and toilets. The average journey time is 90min, during which you can enjoy a small breakfast. Most trips schedule 2-3 dives (some even through in a 4th night dive), so after your first dive it will be time for lunch. Then the second and third dives are followed by a selection of exotic fruits and if you elected to go for a 4 dive day, you will be served diner before the night dive.
Ocean Zone Divers operates a 15m diving vessel capable of running at twice the speed of other regular dive boats. This vessel is fully equipped for day diving and technical diving. Our vessel is the only one to be fitted with a full blending capacity allowing us to do continuous flow technology and partial pressure in order to produce Nitrox, Trimix and the mixes used by rebreather divers. We limit the number of guests to offer the best possible diving experience.
For those who do not wish to spend the whole day on the boat or wish to go to the Similan Archipelago, where Jacques Cousteau Shot a film on the Sea Gypsies or Hin Deang/Hin Muang (probably the best diving in Thailand), we offer diving speed boats or even privat yachts. These vessels are smaller than the standard day boats and the ride can be a little bouncy, but then the navigation time is divided by 4!!! You can reach Racha Noi in 45min and Anemone Reef in just over 25min.
