Course Overview

The SDI Instructor Trainer is the highest rating of the recreational progression. Only SDI/TDI HQ can teach this course.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 21.
Active status IT Staff Instructor for at least 12 months.
Hold a current diving medical.
Certified minimum 150 divers.
First Aid and CPR certified (not older than 12 months).
Oxygen Provider certified.

The Instructor Trainer course covers:

• Organisation and staff role at HQ
• SDI standards and procedures
• History and code of ethics SDI/TDI
• Products and procedures
• Liabilty and insurance
• Risk management
• Methods of Instruction
• Review of diver and leadership courses
• Evaluation techniques
• Counseling techniques

Course duration and number of dives

The Instructor Trainer course can be completed within 6 days. 2 dives are required.
