Course Overview

This program is designed to developp the skills and knowledge necessary for an individual to lead certified divers in open water environments.

Pre-requistes

Minimum age of 18.
Advanced Open Water Diver certified.
Deep, Navigation and Nignt Diver certified.
First Aid and CPR certified (not older than 12 months).
Rescue Diver certified.
Proof of 40 logged dives.

The Divemaster course covers:

• SDI standards and procedures
• History and code of ethics
• Physics
• Physiology
• Diving medecine
• Dive equipement
• Dive planning
• Environment
• Leadership development

Course duration and number of dives

The Divemaster course can be completed within 15 day but we highly recommend the course to be run as an internship running over at least 30 days. 10 dives are required.

Additional costs

Recreational Rental equipment if needed. 650.00 THB set p/day.
Purchase of spool, SMB and wriste slate.

Equipment requirement

The Divemaster course has some specific equipment requirement more than your standard recreational dive gear. The candidate needs to add to the standard kit a knif, diving torche and note slate. We require that all candidates carry also a spool, SMB and wriste slate. Ocean Zone Divers offers special Divemaster equipment packages for those interested.
